 We are seeking permanent and temporary staff to assist in the manufacture of products and construction of agricultural buildings specifically designed to meet the on-going needs of modern pig farmers.  We have exciting opportunities to join our team as we continue to expand, upgrade and develop the company.

 ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

Full Time Post – Available Now

Salary £18-23K depending on experience

The Role – Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for a variety of assembly roles from electrical cable preparation to assembly of hoppers, light machining duties and mechanical assembly of pig housing and feeding products.

The Person – The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge/skills/qualities:

  • Experience of electrical assembly or transferable skills from a similar role such as working in a production environment (inspection, testing or quality control) or interested in a career in electronics/electrical assembly
  • Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision
  • Able to prioritise, plan and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Good hand and eye coordination demonstrating an attention to detail and a steady hand for precision assembly work
  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks without making mistakes
  • A good general technical and mechanical mindset

 CONSTRUCTION VACANCIES

The construction team are responsible for the erection, refurbishment, conversion and fitting out of livestock buildings primarily in the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.  All of the following posts can be considered on a temporary (6 to 12 months) or permanent contract and a competitive salary is negotiable depending on knowledge and experience:

 CONSTRUCTION SITE FOREMAN

 Full Time Post – Available Now

Salary £30-£33K depending on experience

The Role – Responsible for teams of between 2 and 6 ground workers and fitters, you will oversee the erection, refurbishment, conversion or fitting out of livestock buildings primarily in the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.  The post can be considered on a temporary (6-12 months) or permanent contract and a competitive salary is negotiable depending on knowledge and experience.

The Person – The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge/skills/qualities:

  • Experienced as a site foreman in the construction industry
  • An understanding of and experience of using a wide range of construction methods
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good communication and motivation skills
  • Able to prioritise, plan and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a construction team
  • Ability to maintain accurate and concise daily records

As part of a team you will be responsible for site preparation, drainage, foundation and concreting work.  You should be able to demonstrate previous knowledge or experience of similar work and ideally hold a valid CSCS card and tickets for operating excavators, dumpers and rollers.

MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL ENGINEER / SITE FITTER – 2 vacancies

Salary £23-£30K depending on experience

You will be responsible for installing a range of fittings and equipment into agricultural buildings including livestock penning, ventilation systems, feed systems and plumbing and drinking systems and will also undertake general light construction duties.  Previous experience is desirable in a similar role.
