Through the material properties of the cast-iron, a pleasant, cool resting surface for sows is ensured. A special feature of our cast-iron slat is the animal-friendly rounded contour of the bars. We guarantee a high quality, injury-free cast-iron slat design.
Newborn piglets prefer the comfy warmth of our strong Picco- and Porco- plastic slats for their play and rest area.

Weaner Decks
We use Picco- plastic slats for weaner decks. With the segregated early weaning (SEW) method, we install an optional integrated electrical or hot water floor heating system creating an optimal micro-climate for newborn piglets. The temperature properties of the cool cast-iron slats and comfy warm plastic slats keep the piglets away from the sow, greatly reducing danger of crushing piglets when the sow is laying down. This is particularly important in the first days after farrowing.
