Cast Iron Slat
Strong and long-lasting, a particular feature of our cast-iron slats is the ‘open-cast’ manufacturing method. Surface tension of the molten metal forms a rounded edge which is kind to sows and piglets alike. There are no sharp edges to damage teats, feet or knees. In the farrowing pen cast iron provides a cool, comfortable surface for the sow.
