Frost Protection Cable

Our Frost Protection Cable provides a simple way to help protect water supply pipes during cold winter conditions.

The self-limiting cable automatically adjusts its heat output according to the pipe temperature. It produces more heat as temperatures fall, then reduces the output as the pipe warms. This helps provide effective frost protection without constant adjustment.

The cable is designed to operate safely without overheating. Sections can also overlap without burning out, which gives greater flexibility when fitting it around pipework, bends and connections.

Each cable comes fitted with an electrical flex, ready to attach to the pipe and connect to a suitable power supply. This makes installation straightforward when preparing water systems for colder weather.

With a stated service life of 16 years, the cable provides a reliable long-term option for protecting vulnerable water supplies.

The Frost Protection Cable can be used alongside pipework supplying livestock drinkers and other farm water systems.
